Testflight of GPS+wi232 combination

Yesterday I did a testflight with my “Conrad” GPS and wi232 wireless serial modules introduced in my last post.

To record the GPS information which is send by the wi232 modules to my MacBook, I wrote a small Java Application and exported the data as a CSV file. With the famous Plot programm I get two nice diagrams for speed and altitude of this flight.

X-axis is GPS Samples; Y-axis is km/h.

The altitude is above mean sea level in meters:

It’s not really perfect – some samples are doubled, others are missing – but as a basic principle, it’s a good start.
